LOS ANGELES-Oberthur Card Systems acquired Logica Impresora, a manufacturer of banking cards in Spain, for US$9.06 million.
Oberthur said the acquisition is in line with the projected migration to smart cards of the Spanish banking sector by 2003 and provides the company with a platform to further penetrate the South American market.
