LAS VEGAS-OmniSky’s service will run on two new devices and will enhance support for corporate e-mail.
The company demonstrated its service running on the Kyocera QCP 6035 smart phone for the CDMA network, which it said shows its desire to extend its wireless service to popular new devices and next-generation networks. Also, users of Handspring’s Visor Edge handheld can now add the OmniSky service to their device.
Finally, OmniSky announced its Os CorporateLink software, which lets OmniSky subscribers remotely access corporate e-mail from behind their corporate firewall. It is available now and can be downloaded for free from the OmniSky Web site.
