BURLINGTON, Mass.-Maptuit Corp., which supplies eGeo services, announced it has deployed a contextually integrated real-time traffic service with route avoidance.
The new service, which is available across both wireline and wireless devices, provides users with reports of location, type and severity of traffic incidents, including accidents, construction and road closures, and will give alternative routes if necessary.
“We are always looking for a way to get better equipment utilization and to improve customer service,” said Dean Cannon, president of Cannon Express. “We’re interested in any service that can help our drivers avoid heavily congested areas and route around roads under construction. Maptuit’s integration of traffic incidents into their routing system is a very promising development.”
