SAN JOSE, Calif.-ArrayComm Inc. said it joined with 11 other companies to create the TDD Coalition, which will advocate specific U.S. spectrum allocations for wireless broadband data systems using Time Division Duplex technology.
“In Europe and Japan, TDD spectrum has already been allocated for the development of data systems,” said ArrayComm Senior Vice President Bradley Holmes, treasurer of the TDD Coalition. “It’s our position that U.S. entrepreneurs and consumers should expect similar opportunities for similar technical innovations to be available in our own market.”
Holmes said advanced wireless broadband technologies will take root where TDD frequencies have been allocated. Other founding members of the coalition include Harris Corp., BeamReach and Raze Technologies.
