Shunichiro Mishima, vice president of business development for NTT DoCoMo USA Inc., said the Japanese parent company would convert its 16-percent ownership of AT&T Wireless Group into tracking stock of the AT&T unit once those securities are sold publicly. In coverage of his presentation at an Angelbeat meeting April 6 in New York, RCR Wireless News reported Mishima said DoCoMo planned to increase its stake in AT&T Wireless once it is spun off via the tracking stock sale. However, in requesting a clarification of this point, Mishima told RCR Wireless News April 23 it is “possible ” that DoCoMo will increase its ownership percentage stake in AT&T Wireless through purchase of its publicly traded tracking stock, “but we would need to talk with them before we proceed.”

In the RCR Wireless News Top 20 list of Cellular Markets (April 16), the MTA System for Phoenix, No. 15 on the list, should have read: Alltel Corp., One Allied Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72203, (501) 905-8000; instead of Cellular One (Bell Atlantic).
