SnapTrack Inc. will provide its SnapTrack SnapSmart Hybrid Wireless Assisted GPS location server software to Seoul-based wireless infrastructure developer, Neolink Technologies Inc. Neolink will incorporate SnapTrack’s software into its Position Location Service System carrier-class mobile positioning server, thus adding location-based services to wireless handsets.

Meridian Worldwide, a nationwide warehousing and distribution company, has agreed to provide wireless tower development services provider, Professional Telecom Services, with multiple-facility storage of transmission components, and proprietary and construction equipment for the company and its clients. According to Professional Telecom Services, the agreement will lead to reduced transportation times.

Aether Systems Inc. scored another Fusion purchase, this time with Cadec Corp., which provides onboard logistics management for the transportation industry. Cadec is the second announced customer for Aether’s Fusion product, which the company said is a software layer that connects disparate wireless products and services. Aether’s Fusion will provide wide area wireless connectivity to Cadec’s Mobius TTS, which is an onboard computer powered by Microsoft Corp.’s Windows CE platform.

Netegrity, which provides solutions for secure e-business, introduced MobileMinder, a technology that will allow a company to manage its mobile users with a policy-based security and user management solution. The new security offering features single sign-on, self-registration and password services on wireless devices, including mobile phones, personal digital assistants and pagers.

Plantronics Inc. has added the Practica T50 headset telephone to its product line. The new over-the-ear headset, which is available in two colors, has an adjustable boom microphone and an on/off indicator light and connects to a standard telephone jack. It also includes volume control, redial, flash and mute functions. The T50 is available nationwide for $35.
