DUBLIN, Ireland-In a continuation of their business relationship, Parthus Technologies plc announced a licensing agreement with STMicroelectronics for the complete line of Parthus’ mobile Internet platforms.
Under the deal, STMicroelectronics and Parthus will establish a joint marketing forum and Parthus will have access to STMicroelectronics’ manufacturing capacity in advanced technologies.

The deal is part of a long-standing relationship between the two companies. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
In a separate but related announcement, Parthus said it will acquire the remaining minority interest in Silicon Systems Design from STMicroelectronics in exchange for a shareholding in Parthus. Parthus plans to pay $13 million for the remaining 20-percent interest in SSD. The company said the move would provide Parthus with SSD’s engineering resources.
