STAMFORD, Conn.-Verizon Wireless users are the most satisfied, according to a recent survey by Gartner Inc.
Verizon received the highest marks in service satisfaction, with 87 percent of those surveyed reporting they were very or somewhat satisfied with their wireless voice service. AT&T Wireless followed Verizon with an 80-percent satisfaction rating and Sprint PCS had a 79-percent rating. Nextel and Cingular followed, both with ratings of 63 percent.
“Although the satisfaction rate is generally high, it is a clear call for those operators who rank near the bottom that improvements need to be made,” said Phillip Redman, research director for Gartner’s networking group. He added poor and limited coverage is the biggest reason for dissatisfaction with service.
