NEW YORK-edocs Inc., which develops software for online account management and electronic billing, has announced a contract with AT&T Wireless Services Inc.
As the foundation for its upcoming online account management offering, AT&T Wireless will use three edocs’ software products: eaDirect, eaPay and eaPost. The carrier will provide a platform that permits online customer self-care, analytics, dispute resolution and expanded payment options.
“We chose edocs after conducting an extensive evaluation of a variety of solutions. … The edocs solution will enable us to solve everyday customer issues efficiently and cost-effectively,” said Terry Madonia, vice president of e-business for AT&T Wireless.
Edocs, headquartered in Natick, Mass., is a privately held company with 250 employees and $80 million in venture- capital financing from backers including Charles River Ventures, Goldman Sachs & Co. and GE Capital.
Its customers include Sprint Corp., Telstra, American Express, Fannie Mae and FleetBoston Financial.
“Interactive, online account management solutions like edocs’ eaDirect traditionally have witnessed a higher adoption rate than mere static online bill presentment offerings,” said Jason Briggs, senior analyst for The Yankee Group, Boston.
