DALLAS-Reality television is joining the wireless world through a deal between Metrocall Inc. and MTV.
Metrocall, a major sponsor of the music station’s popular “The Real World” program, equipped the show’s cast and crew with Motorola Inc.’s Talkabout T900 two-way pager. According to Metrocall, the devices prompted “secrecy and havoc” among cast and crew members, who used the gadgets to gossip and set up secret meetings.
