Nokia announces Orange U.K. contract

HELSINKI, Finland—Nokia said it has signed US$705 million in contracts with Orange U.K. to supply Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and GSM network expansion for three years.
Nokia said trial equipment for Orange U.K. and the Orange Group is complete, and the company will soon begin network rollout.
“Nokia will also provide telecom-related services, including project management, training, installation, commissioning and technical support for both GSM and 3G networks,” said the Finnish company in a statement.
