BEIJING—Motorola (China) and China Unicom recently signed a long-term cooperation agreement. Both companies want to cooperate on data communications, network optimization and unified management of the GSM and CDMA networks. They also view the handset market, branding and training as areas of cooperation.
Since April this year, Motorola has signed contracts valued at US$1 billion with China Unicom for GSM and CDMA equipment.
