Doreen Trant has been promoted to chief operating officer of Berliner Communication Inc. Trant previously served as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. She will now be responsible for service disciplines including RF engineering, site acquisition, construction, project management, program management and network services. She will also lead nationwide sales, marketing and human resources, oversee company policy development and direct management teams.. Trant will be based in Dallas with a secondary office in Elmwood Park, N.J.

S.Com Inc. has appointed Richard Lawrence president and chief operating officer, Barbara Smith vice president of sales and Julie McLelland sales manager. Lawrence, who has been with S.Com since 1989, will oversee all operations for the company and said he plans to expand the business through global acquisition. Smith, who will be based in Miami, will oversee North and South American operations and revenue growth for all ofior to joining Apogee, Aversano spent 24 years in senior sales and marketing positions with Lucent Technologies Inc. and AT&T Corp.

Crown Castle International

Kelli H. Cole has been named senior vice president of global human resources for Crown Castle International Corp. Cole, who will be based at the company’s Houston headquarters, has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and recruiting. Most recently, she served as vice president of global human resources for Software Spectrum in Dallas.

Invertix

Invertix Corp. has appointed Christy Keeffe sales director and Joe Scott director of contracts, and Julie Stewart was promoted to director of human resources. With more than 10 years of sales, marketing and technical experience, including an executive position at Lucent Technologies Inc., Keeffe will manage East Coast U.S. wireless carrier accounts for Invertix. Scott, previously director of sales operations for Osicom Technologies, Sorrento Networks and Entrada Networks, will lead domesticons at Digital Equipment Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co.

ATIS

Timothy Jeffries was named director of the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA)/Part 68 and technology development. The FCC mandated the formation of ACTA in December 2000, assigning ATIS and the Telecommunications Industry Association to act as its co-sponsors. Before joining ACTA, Jeffries most recently served as director of certification programs for the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association.

Cibernet Corp.

Cibernet Corp. appointed Mark J. Procopio executive vice president and general manager. Procopio will be responsible for the company’s London operations including customer support, sales, new product introduction and service rollout. Before joining Cibernet, he was chief corporate officer at ForRetail Inc. and was in private practice with Heller Ehrman’s technology practice group.

Carrier Access Corp. has appointed Mark Floyd to its board of directors. Floyd formerly served as chie several years of experience in the wireless and IT industries and has specialized in sales, marketing and product management for the past 14 years.

At Airwire.net Inc.’s annual shareholders meeting, Donald J. Turek relinquished his title of chief executive officer. Eugene P. Connell will assume the position while continuing in his role as president of the company. Connell joined Airwire.net’s board of directors last year and was elected president and chief operating officer in February. Other officers elected to Airwire.net’s board of directors include: William L. Karp, vice president and chief financial officer; Thomas L. Gaume, vice president and chief technology officer; John B. Steve Furman has been promoted to project manager for Heinz Corp. For the past year, Furman has been a project engineer for Heinz Corp., focusing on a turnkey project for Cingular Wireleficer.

FieldCentrix named Michael Roppolo vice president of sales. Roppolo joins from EggSystems.com, an e-based business solutions provider for the commercial real estate industry. He has more than 19 years of sales and marketing management experience, including several years at Honeywell. FieldCentrix also recently appointed Walter Kirkland as national accounts manager. Kirkland, who will report to Chicago-based Jim Nannini, eastern sales director, has 18 years of sales and marketing experience.

Mary Ellen Seravalli has been made senior vice president and general counsel of ScoreBoard Inc. She will be responsible for all legal affairs including business transactions, financing and regulatory compliance matters. For more than 1any. She has also held positions with Value America, America Online and The American Compass. She also served as press secretary to Sen. AT&T Wireless

Andre Dahan was named president and chief executive officer of AT&T Wireless’ Mobile Multimedia Services subsidiary, the carrier’s collaboration with NTT DoCoMo Inc. to develop next-generation multimedia services. Dahan will lead all aspects of the business including research and development, operations, finance, sales and marketing.

ArrayComm

ArrayComm has added two people to its governmental affairs office in Washington, D.C., to work on regulations and standards regarding spectrum and technology. Joanne Wilson joins as vice president of standards and Randall Coleman will serve as vice president of regulatory affairs. Wilson, who spent five years representing Lucent Technologies Inc., will lead telecommunications standards activities. Coleman, formerly the regulatory policy advocate for CTIA, will work with federal and international regulators on spectrum and policy issues.

CDT has hired telecommunications lawyer, Paige Anderson, to head up a new project that addresses the global digital divide through legal and regulatory reform in developing counties. Anderson will also take on a role in the global Internet Policy Initiative, a joint project between CDT and Internews, an international nonprofit group supporting independent media. Telesystem International Wireless Inc. said it has appointed Andre Gauthier as chief financial officer, effective immediately. Gauthier, who succeeds Jean-Pierre De Montigny after his return to investment banking, has been with TIW since 1994. He has served the company as controller and most recently as vice president of finance and treasurer.

Traq-wireless

Traq-wireless, provider of enterprise wireless management solutions, announced Jim Offerdahl has been named the company’s president and chief executive officer and will join Traq’s board of directors. Offerdahl joins the company from Pervasive Software where he was chief operating officer and chief financial officer, a role he also previously filled at Tivoli Systems.

JABRA Corp.

JABRA Corp. has promoted Raleigh Wilson senior vice president and general manager. Jim Kerrigan has been appointed vice president of sales for the Americas at GRIC Communications. Kerrigan has held positions with Siemens Business Communications Systems, Siemens Rolm Communications and DMW Worldwide and holds a bachelor of science degree in management from St. Bonaventure University.
