NEW YORK—Following the September 11 tragedy at the New York World Trade Center, coordinators of the Wireless World 2001 trade show, which was scheduled to take place there September 24, are searching for an alternative venue and do intend to carry out the event sometime this year.
“We will go ahead with the event, one way or another, but at the moment cannot announce the date, time and place,” said Jonathan Sarno, chairman of the show. “It will be dedicated to the innocent victims of this horrendous tragedy.”
