MONTREAL—Telesystem International Wireless (TIW) said the holders of its senior discount notes due 2007 have tendered 99.9 percent of the outstanding notes in exchange for a combination of cash and new 14-percent senior guaranteed notes due December 30, 2003.

The total principal amount of new senior guaranteed notes to be issued to tendering holders on Sept. 12 is approximately US$195 million and the total amount of cash paid in the exchange offer will be US$50 million.
