Cellular One to upgrade infrastructure in four states

BELLEVUE, Wash.—Cellular One reported it will invest nearly $800 million in four states by the end of the year to upgrade the wireless infrastructure and expand digital services. The states include Texas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

The investments—$430 million in Texas, $129 million in North Dakota, $120 million in Nebraska and $119 million in South Dakota—will involve towers, antennas, base stations, switches and Federal Communications Commissions licenses, and are expected to double network capacity.
