SAN DIEGO, United States—Qualcomm said that Korea Telecom Freetel is the first carrier worldwide to introduce data application services based on its Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless (BREW) mobile Internet platform.
“KTF expects to roll out commercial BREW-enabled applications and services to subscribers in November of this year, providing end users the ability to download wireless applications over the air and customize their phones with software that meets their individual needs,” said Qualcomm in a statement.
