WEST MELBOURNE, Florida, United States—Relm Wireless, which manufactures, develops and distributes wireless land mobile radio products, announced an original equipment manufacturer agreement with Shenzhen HYT Science & Technology for the manufacture of a new line of portable two-way radios.
According to the five-year agreement, HYT will manufacture four models of VHF and UHF portable two-way radio transceivers, and Relm will have exclusive distribution rights for them in North, Central and South America. The transceivers should be available throughout the fourth quarter of 2001 and first quarter of 2002, and the agreement may later be expanded to include additional products.<
