NEW YORK—Zingy.com, a web portal that allows Nokia mobile phone users to personalize their phones and communicate through text messaging, has officially launched.
“Wireless phones aren’t just tech toys anymore,” explained Fabrice Grinda, Zingy’s founder. “They’re a lifestyle accessory, an ID badge, a fashion statement, a link to your own tribe. No one wants their phone to look and sound like it came straight from the factory. Our phones say things about us. We want them to look and sound like us.”
Zingy.com, which is geared towards teens and young adults, offers free downloads of thousands of ringtones and logos and allows users to send text messages and images to other wireless users.
