SEOUL, Korea—South Korean mobile-phone makers are considering legal action against Qualcomm over the royalty rates they must pay for Qualcomm’s CDMA patents. The vendors are upset by the more favorable royalty rates Qualcomm has given to Chinese CDMA manufacturers.
Telson Electronics and six other vendors have said the Korean rates are unacceptable, according to international press reports.
