NEW DELHI, India—Thailand’s ACT Mobile, the GSM 1900 MHz company floated by government telecom agencies TOT and CAT, has decided to appoint a marketing partner to market its soon-to-be-launched services under the brand name Thai Mobile.
TOT has short listed three firms for the job—Samart E-Trading, Jasmine International and IEC—after a pre-qualification round. The final selection will be made by ACT Mobile soon, TOT officials said in Bangkok.
The decision to appoint a marketing partner has been taken to ensure an early launch of the service. The selected firm would propose the overall business plan for 1900 MHz mobile-phone service in terms of marketing and advertising plans.
