BEIJING—China wants to speed up development of its trunked radio communication system based on Terrestrial Trunked Radio (Tetra) technology for its governmental departments and large state-owned enterprises.
The first China Trunked Radio Communication Technologies & Applications International Summit was held in Beijing in November.
Motorola recently signed the first 800 MHz Tetra contract in China with Guangzhou Metro.
China has also adopted Motorola’s iDEN technology for trunked radio communications.
