WIESBADEN, Germany—Motorola Inc. says it will perform its first German UMTS infrastructure field trials early next year, based on a series of UMTS tests since September 2001 at its laboratory located here.
“Our innovative engineers in Europe and Germany are confidently working toward the successful early implementation of UMTS based on our tests at the Wiesbaden laboratory,” said Jerry Chard, account director for Motorola’s global telecom solutions sector.
