WASHINGTON—The Ecuadorian government plans to sell three wireless local loop (WLL) licenses next year. Rules will be available in January, with the spectrum to be awarded in March.
In addition, regulator Conatel plans to select an investment bank in January to manage the sale of mobile telephony spectrum in late June.
Both spectrum sales will follow the privatization of state-owned telecom companies Pacifictel and Andinatel.
