STOCKHOLM, Sweden—Columbitech announced the worldwide commercial release of the Pocket PC and Windows XP versions of its Wireless VPN, which allows mobile workers to access enterprise data securely and rapidly.
Columbitech’s Wireless VPN is an architecture that comprises software both for end-user devices and the computer servers that reside behind security firewalls.
Because it is an end-to-end solution the software also provides “a solution to plug the security holes in wireless LANs (local area networks),” said Pontus Bergdahl, president and chief executive officer.
