NEW YORK—The Sprint PCS Clear Wireless Workplace added a new feature January 22 that will allow enterprise customers to integrate their landline and wireless phones for a monthly fee of $4 or $8 per employee, depending on the number of features selected.
Instead of having to give out two phone numbers to business associates and then having to check two voice mail in-boxes, employees will be able to provide just their landline numbers. The new Sprint PCS Integrated Office will route calls and messages automatically from landline to mobile phones and will leave a message in the landline voice mailbox if there is no answer on either handset. If a person will be out of the office for a period of time, he or she can configure the routing so incoming calls go first to the wireless phone.
The new service also permits employees of Sprint’s enterprise customers to use on their mobile phones the same abbreviated dialing available on the landline network to connect them with colleagues at the same company.
