MONROE, La.—CenturyTel Inc. said its wireless revenues decreased 3 percent to $108.5 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with $111.8 million for fourth-quarter 2000. Its wireless revenues for the year totaled $438 million, compared with $443.6 million, for 2000.
The company’s overall revenues for the quarter totaled $543.1 million, compared with $527.2 million for fourth-quarter 2000. CenturyTel reported a net gain of $60.3 million, or 42 cents per share, compared with a net gain of $57.1 million, or 40 cents per share, for the same quarter last year.
CenturyTel ended the year with 795,277 wireless subscribers.
