BEIJING—Ericsson’s joint venture in the East China city of Nanjing, Nanjing Ericsson Panda Communications, signed contracts worth US$120 million with Jiangsu Mobile to expand its GSM network.
The contract is the first major award as part of a US$850 million frame agreement signed in June 2001.
The sales figure of Nanjing Ericsson Panda Communications increased 32 percent to 13.5 billion yuan (US$1.63 billion) last year.
