KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.-InterDigital Communications Corp. said it has joined the TDD Coalition, an organization formed to promote third-generation Time Division Duplex (TDD) technology.
“There is growing interest in TDD technology, an integral component of the 3GPP solution,” said Dr. Alain Briancon, chief technology officer of InterDigital. “Operators and equipment producers are recognizing that a complete WCDMA solution, consisting of FDD and TDD, will provide more efficient use of spectrum and a broader range of applications and services.”
