LUXEMBOURG—Luxembourg has begun a “beauty contest” tender for four third-generation (3G) licenses, with each license costing e200,000 (US$172,000) per year. Interested parties must submit a proposal by 29 March.
The 3G services must be launched by 2005.
Luxembourg currently has two mobile operators, Tango and Lux GSM.
