SANTA CLARA, California, United States—Palm officially launched its long-awaited i705 wireless integrated device, which the company is hoping to sell to corporate customers looking for secure wireless access to corporate e-mail and information.
The announcement comes a few days after the devices hit stores shelves.
Palm is following up on its promise to innovate more and release a wireless integrated device by February. Along with the device, the company is touting its enterprise-focused messaging solution for the i705, its always-on America Online instant messaging service, and its behind-the-firewall corporate server for wireless corporate e-mail access.
