HAMAMATSU CITY, SHIZOUKA, Japan—Yamaha Corp. announced it will begin providing a polyphonic cellular phone ring tone download service for Spain’s Telefonica Moviles at the end of February.
Yamaha said the service will offer 500 ring tones, mainly tunes from Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom, and 20 to 30 new ring tones will be added every month. Yamaha currently offers more than 6,000 ring tones to about 3.2 million mobile phone subscribers in Japan.
