Finland—Messaging vendor Tecnomen said Austrian mobile operator Mobilkom Austria has begun live trials of its Multimedia Messaging Service Center to help the operator evaluate multimedia services over GSM/General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) networks.
Mobilkom Austria will offer a range of services with the product, including person-to-person multimedia messaging, routing and filtering for multimedia messages, a permanent multimedia message storage and customizable message management system, and enabling users with legacy devices to send and receive multimedia messages.
