HELSINKI, Finland—Nokia Corp. said it has successfully made its first third-generation wideband CDMA packet-data calls between its commercial network infrastructure and terminals in its laboratories.
“This milestone, which we have now reached as the first supplier in the world, is an important achievement proving the steady progress of our 3G W-CDMA system,” said J.T. Bergqvist, senior vice president, Nokia Networks.
