CHICAGO—GTCR Golder Rauner L.L.C. announced it has completed its acquisition of TSI Telecommunications Services Inc. from Verizon Communications Inc. in a $800 million transaction.
Edward Evans, formerly president and chief operating officer of Dobson Communications, pursued the acquisition in partnership with GTCR and will assume the position of chief executive officer of TSI.
“I am thrilled to have completed this acquisition and am looking forward to the opportunity to grow TSI as a world class, independent organization,” Evans said of the transaction. TSI also appointed Raymond Lawless, who has previous executive experience with Intermedia Communications, chief financial officer of the company.
