CANNES, France—SchlumbergerSema introduced its INService solution for managing mobile carriers’ prepaid and postpaid subscribers.
The solution integrates a rating engine for real-time rating across a carrier’s pre- and postpaid subscriber base.
The company also announced the SchlumbergerSema and Mobile Economy alliance, which was selected by the European Commission to work with a consortium of mobile operators to facilitate the adoption of 2.5 and third-generation services.
The consortium will use mobile-Internet 800 to promote the services. Mi800 is the mobile Internet equivalent of the toll-free 800 wireline number, and will allow business enterprises to subsidize the cost of mobile Web site access.
