HELSINKI—Nokia introduced the Nokia D211, a multimode radio card that allows for wireless Internet access within GPRS, HSCSD and wireless LAN coverage areas.
The card is designed for laptop users who require capabilities including sending and receiving e-mails, text messages, telefaxes and access to the Internet and intranets. It is compatible with mobile devices equipped with type II or III PC card slots and offers an 802.11b WiFi-compliant wireless network interface.
Nokia said the card will be available in the second quarter 2002.
