Adobe announces GoLive 6.0

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Adobe Systems Inc. announced its GoLive 6.0 software Web authoring tool.

GoLive 6.0 includes the Adobe Web Workgroup Server, GoLive Dynamic Content authoring and Web layout tool in one package that professionals can use to create, manage and deliver personalized content for the Web and wireless devices. “Now with GoLive 6.0, we can rapidly develop comprehensive e-commerce applications—all within the GoLive design and development environment,” said Doug Alberts, chief executive officer of eCatalogBuilders. “GoLive unifies information architecture, dynamic content authoring and project collaboration, resulting in the delivery of cost-effective Web sites.”

The new tool also includes Adobe’s design products Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and LiveMotion software. Other Web development features including QuickTime 5.0 editing and SMIL support for RealNetworks’ RealOne Player come with GoLive 6.0. The solution is available now in the U.S. and Canada for approximately $399 and will be available in a bundle with Adobe’s LiveMotion 2.0 for about $449 soon.
