STOCKHOLM, Sweden—CellPoint and Benefon signed an agreement to provide assisted global positioning system (GPS) location solutions to GSM, 2.5- and third-generation (3G) network operators this year.
The A-GPS mobile location solution is based on CellPoint’s MLS 6.0 system and is supported in all of Benefon’s navigation and telematics instruments.
The companies said they expect an A-GPS end-to-end solution to be on the market for professional use this year.
