BEDMINSTER, N.J.—The Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) announced it has changed the date of its annual Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) and it will now be held March 17 to 21 in Orlando to coincide with CTIA’s Wireless 2002 show.
“Combining both the WCNC and CTIA’s Wireless 2002 provides a unique opportunity to bring together top researchers and the leaders of the wireless industry,” said Richard Lynch, WCNC conference general chair and chief technical officer of Verizon Wireless. “Sharing technical development and marketing information will benefit the industry—and ultimately the consumer.”
CTIA Chairman Tom Wheeler agreed the WCNC conference will complement CTIA’s Wireless 2002.
