New York driving law enters next phase

NEW YORK—Beginning this week, New York State motorists who are caught talking on their wireless phones while driving will face US$100 fines following the phase out of the state’s waiver period, which began last November. Drivers can still talk and drive if they use hands-free speakerphones or headsets.
