ATLANTA—Cingular Wireless introduced new pricing plans eliminating roaming and long-distance charges in the United States. The plans, which are set to take effect this week, begin at $30 per month for 250 “package” minutes and 3,500 night and weekend minutes.
“This new initiative by Cingular makes our national calling plans affordable for a much broader consumer base,” said Stephen Carter, president and chief executive officer of Cingular. “An additional 3,500 nationwide bonus minutes provides additional flexibility.”
