CHICAGO—Centerpost Corp. said it has been chosen to provide Motorola Inc. with an enterprise alerting solution that will allow Motorola’s IT organization employees to receive real-time, mission-critical information, including virus and network outage alerts, on any wired or wireless device.
With the Centerpost solution, Motorola employees will be able to access a Web-based interface through an internal portal from which they can direct IT-related voice and text alerts to specific devices, including wireless phones, pagers and PCs. Employees can also send the same alert to multiple devices, ensuring receipt of, and response to, critical information.
“Centerpost’s service will empower our IT professionals with a communications tool that will make them more efficient and better equipped to manage Motorola’s complex IT systems,” said Dan Hedges, vice president of architecture and engineering computing for Motorola. “In the end, we’ll save a lot of time and money with this solution.”
