HANNOVER, Germany—Marco Boerries, developer of Sun Microsystems’ StarOffice office suite, unveiled his new company VerdiSoft at CeBit in Hannover this week.
Boerries demonstrated VerdiSoft’s CrossPoint Server software that will allow service providers to manage and send data to various wireless devices. It will, for example, allow administrators to automatically update operating systems and applications.
“Yes it’s ambitious, but doing an office suite was ambitious as well,” Boerries said of the new product.
