LONDON—724 Solutions Inc. gained a major vote of confidence from Radiolinja Eesti, an Estonian carrier with 146,600 subscribers. The carrier purchased 724 Solutions’ extensive data services platform and will use it for its GPRS launch.
“This is an exciting announcement for 724 Solutions since it marks our first direct sale to a mobile operator in Europe,” said Chris Erickson, 724 Solutions’ managing director. “Our work with Radiolinja Eesti demonstrates that we have the solutions that mobile network operators throughout Europe require to help them generate a rapid return on investment.”
724 Solutions’ platform manages WAP services, as well as short message service and HTTP-based services. 724 Solutions said the product will allow Radiolinja Eesti to deploy a range of services, from m-banking to m-commerce.
