MINNEAPOLIS—Samsung Electronics has signed a licensing agreement to supply H.A. Technical Solutions’ software for its B3 wireless base stations in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and the Philippines.
The deal, which involves 1,000 licenses, was inked through HATS’ reseller, SamBoo System Corp.
“Our clustering software enables wireless service providers to automatically fail over to a backup server when a fault is detected on a base station primary server,” said LeRoy Earl, HATS’ executive vice president. “This is especially crucial in markets where difficult terrain and the lack of a traditional telecommunications infrastructure make it difficult to provide land-based phone lines.”
