Motorola freezes Galvin’s pay, cancels bonus

CHICAGO—Mobile phone maker Motorola Inc. said it froze the pay and cancelled the bonus of chairman Christopher Galvin last year owing to the vendor’s “unsatisfactory financial performance.”

The company did not increase Galvin’s pay from $1.3 million last year, and he did not receive a $1.23 million bonus for 2000.
