SOMERSET, N.J.—LogistiCare, which specializes in non-emergency medical transportation management, is deploying Dynamic Mobile Data’s MobileDispatch wireless dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location software in the school transportation market in Hartford, Conn.
Using DMD’s technology, students will swipe ID cards upon entering and exiting school vehicles so their locations can be tracked by schools and parents who will be able to view bus and student status information in real-time over a secure web site.
LogistiCare will initially install a GPS receiver in 140 buses, and plans to add to that throughout the year.
