JOHANNESBURG, South Africa—Nigerian mobile network operator Econet Wireless has unveiled its latest product called Wireless Talk, an informational and educational column published in the local press.
The column features background information on GSM technology and is said to be aimed at educating Nigerian consumers on the workings of GSM telephony.
Bolaji Balogun, chief marketing officer of Econet Wireless said: “The column is aimed at equipping our customers and the general public with essential information and knowledge about GSM mobile cellular services.”
The network operator is said to be using the column as its second block of its core marketing strategy, which includes the consumer education column.
Bolaji Balogun added that the operator has kept the channel of communication open with articles educating subscribers and the Nigerian public about GSM mobile telephony.
