NEW YORK—Dismissing a contrary argument by Hewlett Packard Co., Delaware Chancery Court judge allowed dissident board member Walter Hewlett to present his court case against the company’s merger with Compaq.
This decision was taken just as both companies await the final tally of shareholders votes on the merger.
